Sturgis Memorial Hospital was built in 1925 with an endowment from the estate of William C. Grobhiser. A new facility, Sturgis Hospital located at 916 Myrtle Avenue, Sturgis, was built in 1970, with an expansion completed in 1981. The original Grobhiser building was originally renovated in 1992 to house physician offices and later remodeled again to accommodate the addition of specialty clinics and more physician offices. In 2005, an expansion was undertaken to remodel and update our surgical facilities.
