Clinical Positions

Ultrasonographer PT

WAGE CLASS:  Dependent on registry eligibility

SHIFT:  Part-time, 3:30p-9p, 50 hrs. pp, weekend, holiday and on-call rotation


ARDMS registered in Abdomen/OB preferred or registry eligible. Experience in Vascular and/or Echo preferred.  Must be willing to take call.  Must be able to work independently, have pleasant personality, and be highly self-motivated.

RN - FT Med/Surg


SHIFT:  Full-time, 72 hours pp, 7:00pm–7:30am, W/E & Holiday Rotation


Experience in Med/Surg/Peds preferred, providing quality patient care to pediatric through geriatric.  BLS certified.  Must obtain ACLS within 1 year or next available class.  Experience in telemetry monitoring or will complete during orientation period.  Good communication skills required.  Individual must demonstrate ability to set priorities, work independently and as a team member.  Must participate in quality monitoring.



SHIFT:  Full-time, 72 hours pp, 7:00pm–7:30am, Weekend and Holiday Rotation


ACLS certification required, and PALS certified or willing to obtain.  Minimum of two years ER experience preferred.  Strong nursing and communication skills. Must demonstrate ability to handle stressful situations while utilizing excellent customer service skills and managing workload.  Must demonstrate ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks.

Medical Lab Technologist


SHIFT:  Full Time, 80 hours pp, 5:30pm-6:00am Wed, Thurs, Fri, 9:30pm-6am every other Sat night & holiday rotation


Minimum of Associate or BS degree in Medical Technology ASCP or equivalent.  Must be a generalist in the lab and fluent in medical terminology.  Must meet CLIA 88 requirements.

Support Services                                         

Maintenance Helper/Security


SHIFT:  Full time, 72 hours pp, 3:00pm-11:30pm (with flexibility of working all shifts), Weekend & Holiday Rotation


Previous maintenance experience required.  Perform all preventative and general maintenance tasks as required.  Perform tasks with security, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, boilers, grounds keeping and facility repairs.  Must be able to lift-up to 80 lbs. and follow directions given by Plant Operations Director.

Environmental Services Tech


SHIFT:  Full Time, 3:00pm–11:30pm, 80 hours pp, W/E & Holiday Rotation


Perform duties involving cleaning and disinfecting areas throughout the hospital and AMG I.  Requires full range of body motion, eye-hand coordination, normal vision range. Requires standing, bending, stretching, and walking for long periods of time.  Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.  Requires exposure to blood and body fluids, requires exposure to caustic cleaning chemicals.  May require the use of power equipment to strip tiled floors, hi-speed buff tiled floors and bonnet/extract carpeting.  Also, may require the ability to re-finish floors after they have been stripped.

Patient Access Service Rep


SHIFT:  Full-time, 80.5 hours pp, 3rd/11.5 hr. shifts, Every other W/E & every other Hol Rotation


High school diploma or equivalent.  Assoc. Degree in Allied Health or Business Management preferred.  Certified Healthcare Access associate (CHAA Certificate) preferred.  Basic office & keyboarding skills with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM and the ability to use designated reference materials and office equipment (i.e. computer, printer, fax, calculator, etc.) required.  Successful completion of a Medical Terminology Course required or must complete within 6 months of hire.  Complete understanding of Point of service collections; specifically, must understand why it is necessary and must be able to effectively communicate this to Sturgis Hospital’s patient community.    Requires the ability to utilize good judgment and maintain one’s composure in stressful situations.  Requires the basic math skills needed to successfully balance cash drawer and calculate the amount due on self-pay patients.
